Oak Harbor, WA Wonderful Food and Service Best ever falling off the bone, tender, juicy babyback ribs. My husband had the Osso Bucco and loved it. The service was delightful- staff seemed to be so happy to be working there. You can tell that this place was designed with love and the food cooks with love. 5/15/18 Leonard A
Rock Island, Illinois Super! We were passing through and found this place off the beaten path. It’s worth a little going out of the way. We had excellent service, the waitress and staff were wonderfully courteous and helpful. The ambiance was warm and inviting. Have I mentioned the food? It was fantastic! I ordered the Cedar Planked Seafood Platter, which was perfectly cooked and very tasty. This was followed by coffee and Creme Brûlée—also wonderful. This is an excellent place to dine. 4/18/18 J and M D.
Kirkland, WA Before we get into specifics, let's just get right to the point: Wildfire is amazing. You should go; you will love it. Seriously, the food, the ambiance, and even the owners were great. We had the fortune of finding this spot when we stopped off for a night in Port Angeles as part of our west peninsula road trip. We actually chose this spot among the few offerings in Port Angeles based on the couple reviews we found that complimented Wildfire's outdoor seating. When we arrived on a Friday night at about 8pm, the deck was full and lively (clearly others thought that was the place to be, too). After a short wait out in the sunroom area, a welcoming hostess ushered out to a very nice table right next to a very cool fire pit. The gas fire pit was filled with small pieces of broken blue glass; the relaxing, warm glow was attractive and appreciated as the sun went down. The deck afforded a nice view of the sunset (and a bit of the water), and it proved to be a perfect spot to enjoy dinner. On to the food. To start, we had the smoked wild salmon appetizer--it was phenomenal. The wonderfully smoked salmon isn't even half the story, though...the complements really make this dish: lots of roasted garlic, melted brie, and crispy flatbread. Every component was great on its own, but together you have a taste and textural explosion you'll want to tell everybody about. Note: The flatbread is fired in the apple wood brick oven, and naturally it's what they use for pizza dough--something we'll be sure to try next time. John T.
Chicago, IL My wife and I were looking for somewhere to dine on our recent trip to Olympic National Park, and for some reason (TripAdvisor Reviews) we decided to give Wildfire Grill a try. Well, all I can say is that I was very disappointed when I entered and the owner(?) gave me a hard time (jokingly) for being a Michigan State alum. He had the unfortunate background of a University of Michigan alum. After that, however, the experience was fantastic!!! I had the short ribs and they were perfectly prepared and presented and tasted fabulous. Also, the ambiance of the place was perfect. It was obviously frequented by a number of locals (at least half the people were greeted by name) which is always a good sign. Also, one of my pet peeves, the service was perfect. Not to pushy, but perfectly attentive. During our trip we dined at a number of other establishments and almost none of them equaled our experience at Wildfire. I happily and enthusiastically recommend this to anyone living or visiting in the area. |

Austin, TX A delight ... fabulous steak ! What a nice place in Port Angeles, WA. It was recommended by the woman at the front desk - Eleanor - at The Olympic Lodge (a great place to stay in Port Angeles .... see my review) and I am so glad she did. The food was very good. We both had their sirloin steak and it was so good I thought it was a filet / tenderloin. Seriously ... it was delicious and so tender and it was spiced just right. The owner ( L of LD's ) waited on us and she was a delight ! She was waiting on several folks at the same time and I observed how attentive and nice she was to everyone. The ambience of the place was also great. Nice, older house turned into a restaurant on the outskirts of town but I am so glad we heard about them. We will go back every time we visit. Please give them a try when you visit Port Angeles, WA !! Thank you for a great evening and wonderful dinner. And, it was our 15th Wedding Anniversary and a dinner we won't forget. Great price too ! 12/2/17 DickH03824
